RH Gaming Helps Test New Ladder Map!

Greetings Heroes!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have been given a great shout out on Team Liquid from the creator of a new ladder map (ESV Ohana), IronManSC, for our assistance in helping him with balancing and testing.

Clan RH on the NA server has earned my personal gratification. These guys, who are mostly master players, have been testing several of my maps for the past few months, but none of it compared to the testing they provided on Ohana. We all know how hard it is for foreign map-makers to get good players to test out their map, but these RH guys willingly and gladly tested the many versions of Ohana over the months. RH really stepped up and filled that much-needed role and has made my map-making much less stressful and more enjoyable. Without these wonderful lads and their amazing feedback (and entertaining games!), Ohana would not be nearly as balanced as it is today. Thanks so much guys!

So, I would just like to say thank you to everyone involved, and make sure to give IronManSC a big congratulations when you see him around!

RH Gamings' "WWYD For A Beta Key" Tournament has Arrived!

****Just as an incentive for those clan members who register and compete in this tourney, you will automatically be entered into a smaller, RH clan members only, tournament. This will also offer beta accounts for the winners!****

While we know many of you would do some very "entertaining" things for a shot at a Diablo III Beta key, all were asking you to do is to fight each other to the bloody end......of a Starcraft 2 tournament that is! Therefore this coming Sunday, February 26th 2012, Relentless Heroes Gaming will be hosting the first of many tournaments in which the winner and runners up will be given their very own Beta accounts! Do we have your attention now? Good, because we must ask one thing of you in exchange for our generosity: Tell ALL Of Your Friends!!!!! We want to give every deserving Starcraft 2 player and Diablo III addict a chance to fight for an account full of hours of joy and happiness.

Getting down to business, the tournament will be a 128-player (tentatively), single elimination, bracket style tournament on the North American Starcraft 2 servers. Everyone that is platinum through Grandmasters league is eligible. The first four rounds will be BO1's and will ultimately determine the final 8 players. The quarter-finals will be a BO3, followed by the BO5 semi-finals. Finally, it will all come down to a grueling test of endurance and stamina in the BO7 finalists' round. Both the winner and the loser of the finals will receive a Diablo III Beta account, in addition cash prizes (TBA) to the finalist and runner-up, respectively.

Clan War REMATCH! :: TeamRH vs Impulse eSports

Hello everyone! So the match between iMpulse eSports and Team RH went so well that we've decided to do it again! Congratulations to iMpulse Eposrts for their 5-2 win during our last event. As far as this new event goes, the format will remain the same so the bulk of this post will be a copy/paste of the old post with the starting map changed. Thank you all for your support! As stated before, the format remains the same so each team will show with the entirety of their available roster and will select a starting member of their team to 1v1 against the chosen starting player from the opposing team. The winning player remains to face the next player chosen by the losing team on a map of the losing team's choice. This sort of pokemon style battle between our teams will continue until one of the teams reaches a total of FIVE wins. Casting this event will be none other than our very own Pyronia! Each team will show with the entirety of their available roster and will select a member of their team to 1v1 against the choosen player from the opposing team. TTeSports Challenge - $500 every week!

The Tt eSPORTS Challenge returns for another exciting series of tournaments in 2012. Debuting with a weekly series of StarCraft 2 tournaments, the Tt eSPORTS Challenge will offer a $500 prize pool each weekend.

Since its inception, the goal of TeC was to provide a platform for both seasoned and aspiring progamers to compete on a regular basis. With a lot of discussion surrounding player incentives and the sustainability of competitive gaming, TeC hopes to reward gamers of all backgrounds who have a strong commitment to the challenge of the game.

All new format
Tt eSPORTS Challenge will debut with a new format that deviates from the initial month long league. Instead, TeC will host one day tournaments every weekend in order to provide the greatest accessibility for the community without the need for month long commitments. Friends,
Along with some site maintenance to increase performance, RHGaming has implemented tapatalk. This is a pretty slick App that is supported by iOS and Android operating systems, and costs a few bucks. You will get access to tons of communities, in addition to RH Gaming -- and we thought it was pretty cool.

In the future we may brand our own app to distribute in the Market, but that costs over 800 bucks, and we would want to see how many folks enjoy tapatalk before we made that investment.

Hey RH Gaming,

To all you Starcraft users, some of you might remember when we hosted "old school" King of the Hill's on SC2, and they seemed rather popular at the time.

We'd like to recreate those, and try and get some of our newer members involved in Teamspeak! We always have a lot of fun talking in the channel about the various games, strategies and maps!

So every Friday around 8pm(EST), everyone's invited for a KotH, old school style. This means we host a different map every time, because those modded one map KotHs tend to get pretty dull after awhile, right?

Relentless Heroes 2012 Open!

To jump start the new year with some excitement, RH will be hosting an open tournament that will take place on Saturday, January 14 at 5:00 EST / 2:00 PST. The event will have a 90 dollar prize pool, but as an added bonus, a Counter-strike : Global Offensive Beta key will be given to both the first and second place players! The tournament will be a single elimination event, and will be open to all levels of Starcraft 2 players. Sign ups are now open! We hope to see many of on Saturday for this event. RH Streaming Goes Live!

Greetings RH,

I am excited to announce that we now have our own integrated live streaming system. You will notice a ‘Featured Streams’ section on the right column of our homepage. This box will notify you of every live RH stream and upon clicking, you will be directed to our streaming page. We will be editing/formatting and adding more features to our stream integration in the near future.

We encourage all of our members who are able to stream to hop on in. RH will be focusing on streaming anything related to both Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 (currently Beta), but we can also fit some other content in periods of downtime. If you would like to have your stream added to our list please contact Bob for step up purposes!

Additionally, RH has its own twitch.tv account, and we will be utilizing this for group games with commentary and other more largely involved streaming initiatives. We will provide the login info for anyone who will need to use this.

Heroes of Newerth: Just In Time for Winter Brea...

Hello everyone!
I am extremely excited to bring forward to all of YOU, the RH community, that we have initiated a new project to bridge Relentless Heroes to Heroes of Newerth. For those of you who aren't aware of what HoN is, it's basically a replicate of the most sucessful Warcraft 3 custom map - Defense of the Ancients. This project will be lead by me, designRH, with help from the rest of our amazing leadership team. With finals done and winter break here, I'm sure EVERYONE will have enough time to download and play some Heroes of Newerth with the clan! (:

Heroes of Newerth (commonly known as HoN) is a free-to-play science fantasy, action real-time strategy game developed by S2 Games for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The game was heavily inspired by the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne custom map, Defense of the Ancients and is S2 Games' first game title in the Dota genre. The game was released on May 12, 2010 and re-released as a free-to-play game on July 29, 2011. Objective
Our objective of this project is to bring Heroes of Newerth into the clan and make this game an even better experience by forming a community where people can come online at any time and look for teams to play games with and enjoy their time. Despite having no plans to go competitive at the moment, we would like to form a roster of the best players that we can recruit for friendly clan matches against other communities. We would like to expand Relentless Heroes and make an even bigger name for ourselves out there to show people what we are really capable of.

Inspiration
You may be wondering why I suddenly decided to try this. As a HoN player since the early stages of the BETA, one thing that I really disliked about the game community was the lack of manners and understanding towards newer players. I believe that one of the main reasons why many people choose not to play HoN is due to the constant rage that you recieve as a beginner when you are just starting out. To be honest - when MarineUsMc recruited me into RH back in May 2011, what I was looking for was just a super-serious team to practice with and improve at Starcraft II. But I instantly realised that what I had found was even more- I found myself within a group of friends that ALL wanted to get better at the game. I found people like me who would later make the game much more entertaining to me - and well, it made me feel much more comfortable. I then took my leave from Starcraft and went back to full-time HoN, and wished that one day there would be a community like RH for that game too. But guess what, there wasn't. All the community included was a fleet of trolls that did nothing but annoy me. I decided to log onto our Teamspeak Server one day and hopped into a random channel with Deathbite. The first word I heard from him was "bloodhunter," and I literally thought that I had played so much HoN that I was going insane. I couldn't believe what I heard, and literally sat there in silence for another 20 seconds until it came to me that the channel i was in was called "Heroes of Newerth." It would be an understatement to say that I was shocked. And I'll skip the rest of it since I've been writing so much that my English doesn't even seem to make any sense anymore LOL. But guess what, here I am now inspired to build a community for beginners that are honestly interested in getting better at the game.

Weekly Thursday Karaoke Night!

Hey guys and gals of RH, Pho here, I come here to present to you an official WEEKLY Thursday KARAOKE night. Yup. I said it, Karaoke night. With the grand prize being, wait for it, FIVE DOLLARS!

The idea came about months back due to an RH member named Fenrir, so induced with singing that he decided that we need a get together. The idea is that the entire RH community (or as much of us as we can) come and use the Teamspeak channel for something other than to talk about how Imba Terran was, or about how gay HoN is. We come together, and SING! Please read the following or else you will not be able to participate.

Information

Time - 10:00PM EST
Date - 08/22/11

We will have Karaoke night up until everyone leaves. I suggest drinking a few to loosen up and get the game started. We will start by having the "Who Me?" round, "Pick Em!" round, "Group Stages" round, and finally the "Prize" round.

Rounds Information

"WHO ME?"
- The Picker / Singer
- The Picker: Picks song for singer
- Singer: Sings the song
- After the song has been sung, the Singer will pick a new singer (ANYBODY), and then can either pick the song themselves or pick someone to pick the singer's song.
- The first PICKER/SINGER will be decided upon by the moderator of the night (varies).
- Singer cannot "VETO" the Picker's choice. See Rules 2 & 3.

"PICK EM!"
- Singers take turns (moderator writes down who's turn it is), and sings WHATEVER THEY WANT!

"GROUP Stages"
- Think you make a fine duet?
- Think you and a couple other people can HARMONIZE?!?!
- Same as Pick Em round but with more than ONE person.

"Prize Round" - $5 Prize
- Save your best song for last.
- Same as Pick Em round except for prizes/money/prizemoniess
- EVERYBODY will vote either a 1-10. (1 = OFFICIALLYDEAF; 10 = OMGSUPERSTAR)
- If there is a tie, we have a SING OFF!
- Everybody will vote for who they thought did better.
- Another tie, ANOTHER sing off.
- WE GO UNTIL WE NO CAN GO FURTHER AND PHO CAN KEEP HIS MONEY!

RULES

1 - The FIRST rule of Karaoke night is NEVER talk about Karaoke night.
2 - If you stay for ONE song, and the very NEXT song they pick you to sing and you don't, you get a one hour ban. So if you stay stay to listen to the song, you better be ready to blast one out. If you refuse, 1 hour ban. Don't come and complain when this has been posted in advance. I don't want to hear it.
3 - Have fun, I doubt ANYBODY can really sing. So don't be afraid. Seriously, don't. See Rule 2.

Anyways, this is just a fun moment where you can safely be in the environment of your own home, drink, and have some fun with people who are cool as hell. Come and join us, we always have fun. And the last time, we were completely sober.

Happy Thanksgiving all, RH hopes everyone has a great holiday and dives into a big feast!
